  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Butter or oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for serving
  • Maple syrup for serving

Instructions

  1. Begin by taking each slice of bread and flattening it out with a rolling pin.
  2. Spread a generous amount of cream cheese on each slice of the flattened bread.
  3. Place sliced strawberries on top of the cream cheese.
  4. Carefully roll each slice of bread tightly from one end to the other.
  5. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter or oil.
  7. Dip each roll-up in the egg mixture, ensuring it’s well coated.
  8. Place the roll-ups seam-side down in the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  9. Serve the roll-ups warm, dusted with powdered sugar and drizzled with maple syrup.
