Ingredients

  • Bread (white or brioche)
  • Cream cheese
  • Sugar
  • Vanilla extract
  • Fresh strawberries
  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Flour
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Oil (for frying)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth for the filling.
  2. Slice fresh strawberries and gently fold them into the cream cheese mixture.
  3. Spread the cream cheese-strawberry mixture on a slice of bread and top with another slice to form a sandwich.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs and milk for the egg mixture.
  5. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, then dredge in flour and breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  7. Fry each sandwich until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
