Description
Tender marinated chicken wrapped in warm pita bread with fresh veggies and creamy tzatziki – an easy and delicious family dinner wrap.
Ingredients
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts (sliced thin)
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
4 pita breads
1 cup lettuce, shredded
1/2 cup sliced tomatoes
1/2 cup sliced red onions
1/2 cup cucumber slices
1/2 cup tzatziki sauce
Instructions
1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper.
2. Add chicken slices and marinate for at least 30 minutes (up to 2 hours).
3. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat and cook chicken until golden and cooked through, about 6–8 minutes.
4. Warm pita breads in a dry pan or oven.
5. Spread tzatziki sauce over each pita.
6. Fill with cooked chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers.
7. Wrap tightly and serve warm.
Notes
You can use naan bread instead of pita for a softer wrap.
Add feta cheese for extra flavor.
Great served with fries or a side Greek salad.
