- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup whipped topping
- 6 oz strawberry gelatin
- 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
- 2 cups boiling water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and sugar in a large bowl until well mixed.
- Press the pretzel mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch pan.
- Bake the crust for 10 minutes and then let it cool completely.
- Beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar in a bowl until smooth.
- Fold in the whipped topping until well combined.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.
- Dissolve the strawberry gelatin in 2 cups of boiling water.
- Stir in the sliced strawberries with the gelatin mixture and let it cool slightly.
- Pour the strawberry mixture over the cream cheese layer.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours to allow the gelatin to set.
- Serve the dessert chilled, cut into squares.
Notes
Use fresh strawberries for best flavor. Make sure the crust is completely cooled before adding the cream cheese layer.
