A delightful dessert combining fresh strawberries, creamy white chocolate, and shredded coconut with a stunning swirled effect.


Ingredients

  • 1 box strawberry cake mix, plus ingredients listed on the box (eggs, oil, and water)
  • 1½ cups fresh or frozen strawberries (chopped)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips or chunks
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2½ cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  3. Layer the bottom of the pan with coconut, chopped strawberries, and the optional nuts.
  4. Prepare the cake batter according to the cake mix instructions.
  5. Pour the prepared cake batter over the layered ingredients.
  6. Beat the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy.
  7. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla to the cream cheese mixture.
  8. Dollop and swirl the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter.
  9. Sprinkle the white chocolate chips on top.
  10. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, performing the toothpick test.
  11. Let the cake cool for about 30 minutes before serving.
