Description

A warm, comforting dessert with baked seasonal fruits infused with cinnamon, nutmeg, and a touch of sweetness. Perfect for chilly evenings and holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

4 cups mixed fresh or frozen fruit (apples, pears, berries, peaches)

1/4 cup brown sugar or maple syrup

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

1/4 tsp ground ginger

1 tsp lemon juice

2 tbsp unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

Optional: chopped nuts, whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.

2. In a large bowl, combine fruit, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and lemon juice. Toss to coat evenly.

3. Transfer fruit mixture to prepared baking dish. Dot with butter on top.

4. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until fruit is tender and bubbling.

5. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.

6. Serve warm with optional toppings like whipped cream, ice cream, or chopped nuts.

Notes

Use seasonal fruits for best flavor.

Frozen fruit can be used—thaw slightly before baking.
