Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (sifted)
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened, room temperature)
  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract (pure)
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the sifted flour, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until smooth.
  5. Combine the flour mixture into the wet ingredients until just blended.
  6. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop rounded portions of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until the edges are golden.
  9. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

Serve warm with milk or ice cream. Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
