- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened, room temperature)
- 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract (pure)
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix the sifted flour, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
- Cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until smooth.
- Combine the flour mixture into the wet ingredients until just blended.
- Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- Scoop rounded portions of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until the edges are golden.
- Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
