Description
A comforting and delicious baked ziti dish loaded with cheese and marinara sauce.
Ingredients

- 12 oz ziti pasta
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, basil, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Combine the cooked ziti, marinara sauce, and ricotta mixture in a large bowl.
- Layer half of the ziti mixture in a baking dish, then sprinkle half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Add the remaining ziti mixture on top followed by the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, mix in some cooked ground beef or Italian sausage.
