Description
Decadent, gooey, and irresistibly rich fudgy brownies made with real chocolate and cocoa powder. A classic dessert that delivers the perfect chewy center and crackly top every time.
Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
8 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup chocolate chips or chunks (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter and chopped chocolate together until smooth.
3. Whisk in granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined.
4. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gently fold until just combined—do not overmix.
5. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
6. Spread batter evenly into the prepared pan.
7. Bake for 28–32 minutes, until the top is set and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs (not clean).
8. Cool before slicing for clean, fudgy squares.
Notes
For extra gooey brownies, slightly underbake and let them set as they cool.
Add walnuts or pecans for a nutty crunch.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for the ultimate treat.
