Ingredients

  • 2 cups uncooked macaroni/pasta of your choice
  • 3 cups water
  • 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2.5 cups sharp cheddar, freshly grated
  • 2 cups mozzarella, freshly grated
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1.5 tbsp paprika (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1.5 tsp sugar

Instructions

  1. Grate both the sharp cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  2. Add the dried macaroni pasta and 3 cups of water to a large pot.
  3. Bring the pot to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to medium-low.
  4. Cook the pasta according to package instructions or until al dente, stirring occasionally.
  5. As the pasta cooks, ensure most of the water evaporates, leaving a bit in the pot.
  6. Once the pasta is cooked, lower the heat and add the heavy whipping cream, cheeses, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, mustard, and sugar.
  7. Stir until cheese melts and ingredients are well combined.
  8. Taste and adjust spices if necessary.
  9. Serve hot in bowls.
