- 2 cups uncooked macaroni/pasta of your choice
- 3 cups water
- 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2.5 cups sharp cheddar, freshly grated
- 2 cups mozzarella, freshly grated
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1.5 tbsp paprika (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1.5 tsp sugar
Instructions
- Grate both the sharp cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
- Add the dried macaroni pasta and 3 cups of water to a large pot.
- Bring the pot to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to medium-low.
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions or until al dente, stirring occasionally.
- As the pasta cooks, ensure most of the water evaporates, leaving a bit in the pot.
- Once the pasta is cooked, lower the heat and add the heavy whipping cream, cheeses, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, mustard, and sugar.
- Stir until cheese melts and ingredients are well combined.
- Taste and adjust spices if necessary.
- Serve hot in bowls.
