Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 oz dark chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  3. Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  4. Add wet ingredients and mix until smooth.
  5. Melt dark chocolate and stir into the batter.
  6. Fill cupcake liners two-thirds full with batter.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, testing for doneness with a toothpick.
  8. Cool the cupcakes for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  9. Make frosting by mixing melted chocolate and butter, then adding powdered sugar.
  10. Frost the completely cooled cupcakes with the chocolate frosting.
  11. Enjoy and serve at room temperature.
