Description

Lemon bars are a delightful treat that balances sweetness with a refreshing tang, perfect for picnics and family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a mixing bowl, mixing well.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
  4. Whisk together sugar, lemon juice, eggs, lemon zest, and baking powder in another bowl until smooth.
  5. Pour the lemon filling over the crust in the baking dish.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the filling is set but slightly jiggly in the center.
  7. Cool completely in the dish before cutting.
  8. Dust each piece with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes
