Description
A vibrant and flavorful Greek dish featuring marinated chicken breasts with bright citrus notes and aromatic herbs.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Lemon slices, for garnish
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, fresh lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper. Whisk until everything is well mixed.
- Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts into the bowl with the marinade, making sure they are well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for best flavor.
- Preheat the Grill or Oven: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cook the Chicken: Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting any excess drip off. Grill for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or bake for 20-25 minutes until fully cooked through.
- Rest the Chicken: After cooking, allow the chicken to rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.
- Serve and Garnish: Slice the chicken and garnish with fresh lemon slices and chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Letting the chicken marinate enhances the taste, and avoid overcooking for juicy results.
