  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients: Before you start cooking, gather all your ingredients. Make sure the shrimp are cleaned, peeled, and deveined. Mince the garlic and zest and juice the lemon.
  2. Heat the skillet: Place a large skillet on medium heat. Add the unsalted butter and let it melt completely.
  3. Sauté the garlic: When the butter is melted and bubbly, add the minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for about a minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp: Spread the shrimp evenly in the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes if desired. Cook without stirring for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Flip the shrimp: After 2-3 minutes, carefully flip each shrimp over. Let them cook on this side for another 2-3 minutes until fully cooked.
  6. Add lemon juice and zest: Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the lemon juice and zest, coating the shrimp well.
  7. Garnish and serve: Sprinkle chopped parsley over the shrimp and serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

Serve over rice or pasta for a filling meal. Pair with crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
