A quick and flavorful dish featuring juicy shrimp sautéed in rich garlic butter with a splash of lemon.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, juiced and zested
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients: Before you start cooking, gather all your ingredients. Make sure the shrimp are cleaned, peeled, and deveined. Mince the garlic and zest and juice the lemon.
- Heat the skillet: Place a large skillet on medium heat. Add the unsalted butter and let it melt completely.
- Sauté the garlic: When the butter is melted and bubbly, add the minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for about a minute until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp: Spread the shrimp evenly in the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes if desired. Cook without stirring for 2-3 minutes.
- Flip the shrimp: After 2-3 minutes, carefully flip each shrimp over. Let them cook on this side for another 2-3 minutes until fully cooked.
- Add lemon juice and zest: Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the lemon juice and zest, coating the shrimp well.
- Garnish and serve: Sprinkle chopped parsley over the shrimp and serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
