Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • ½ cup diced onions (optional)
  • ½ cup chopped green bell peppers (optional)
  • A pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced onions and chopped green bell peppers, cooking until soft and fragrant, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Once the veggies are ready, add the rice and stir for about 2 minutes.
  4. Pour in the broth, then add the soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried parsley, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 18-20 minutes.
  6. Let the rice sit covered for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Fluff the rice gently with a fork and serve it as a delicious side dish.
