- 3 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Bread crumbs (optional for topping)
Instructions
- Boil the macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Whisk in flour and cook for about 1 minute.
- Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
- Reduce heat and stir in cheeses until melted and smooth.
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in the cooked macaroni until well coated.
- If desired, pour into a baking dish, top with bread crumbs, and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
