  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Bread crumbs (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. Boil the macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Whisk in flour and cook for about 1 minute.
  4. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  5. Reduce heat and stir in cheeses until melted and smooth.
  6. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  7. Stir in the cooked macaroni until well coated.
  8. If desired, pour into a baking dish, top with bread crumbs, and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
