Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
  2. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and stir in the vegetable oil, water, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before adding the eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts if using.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  9. Let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
