Description

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 4×8 inch loaf pan by greasing it with butter or non-stick spray.
  3. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth with some lumps.
  4. Mix in the melted butter until well combined.
  5. Add the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
  6. Incorporate the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, stirring until well mixed.
  7. Add the all-purpose flour, mixing until just combined.
  8. Fold in the walnuts if using.
  9. Fill the prepared loaf pan with the batter.
  10. Bake for about 60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Cool the banana bread in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
