- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare a 4×8 inch loaf pan by greasing it with butter or non-stick spray.
- Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth with some lumps.
- Mix in the melted butter until well combined.
- Add the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
- Incorporate the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, stirring until well mixed.
- Add the all-purpose flour, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the walnuts if using.
- Fill the prepared loaf pan with the batter.
- Bake for about 60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the banana bread in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
