Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs, separated
  • 1 3/4 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Prepare the wet ingredients by whisking egg yolks, milk, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients gently, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Whip the egg whites until soft peaks form and fold them gently into the batter.
  6. Prepare the waffle iron by greasing it lightly if needed.
  7. Cook the waffles for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm with your choice of toppings.

Notes

For fluffier waffles, make sure your eggs and milk are at room temperature before mixing. Experiment with toppings for a delightful experience.
