Description
Tender, juicy, and fall-off-the-bone BBQ baby back ribs smothered in smoky, sweet, and tangy barbecue sauce. Perfect for summer cookouts or weekend family dinners!
Ingredients
2 racks baby back ribs (about 4 lbs total)
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with foil.
2. Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs for tenderness.
3. Mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne in a small bowl.
4. Rub the ribs with olive oil, then coat generously with the spice rub.
5. Place ribs on prepared sheet, cover tightly with foil, and bake for 2.5–3 hours until tender.
6. Preheat grill to medium heat. Brush ribs with BBQ sauce and grill for 5–10 minutes per side, basting as desired.
7. Slice and serve with extra sauce on the side.
Notes
For extra smoky flavor, cook ribs on a smoker at 225°F for 5–6 hours.
You can make them a day ahead; reheat on the grill with fresh BBQ sauce.
