Description
A creamy, comforting oven-baked corn casserole that’s easy to prepare and perfect as a side dish for family dinners or holiday meals. Sweet corn meets cheesy goodness in every bite.
Ingredients
1 can (15 oz) whole kernel corn, drained
1 can (15 oz) creamed corn
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Optional: chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
2. In a large bowl, combine whole kernel corn, creamed corn, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, milk, and melted butter.
3. Add flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
4. Pour mixture into prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
5. Bake for 45–50 minutes, until the top is golden and the casserole is set.
6. Remove from oven, optionally sprinkle with chopped green onions, and serve warm.
Notes
Use fresh or frozen corn if preferred; adjust liquid as needed.
For extra cheesy flavor, sprinkle additional cheddar on top before baking.
This casserole can be prepared ahead and baked just before serving.
