Description
A classic holiday green bean casserole made with tender green beans, creamy mushroom sauce, and topped with crispy fried onions. Perfect for Thanksgiving or festive dinners.
Ingredients
1 lb fresh or frozen green beans, trimmed
1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp soy sauce
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 1/3 cups French fried onions
Optional: 1/4 tsp garlic powder or onion powder
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, pepper, and optional seasonings.
3. Add green beans and 2/3 cup of French fried onions. Stir until beans are evenly coated.
4. Transfer mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
5. Bake for 25 minutes until hot and bubbly.
6. Sprinkle remaining French fried onions on top and bake for an additional 5–10 minutes until golden.
7. Serve warm.
Notes
Use fresh or frozen green beans depending on preference.
Can be prepared ahead and baked just before serving.
