A creamy, smooth, and easy-to-make homemade oat milk using simple ingredients – perfect for coffee, cereals, or smoothies.
Ingredients
1 cup rolled oats
4 cups water
1–2 tbsp maple syrup or sweetener of choice (optional)
1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Pinch of salt
Instructions
1. Soak rolled oats in water for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for creamier texture), then drain and rinse.
2. Add soaked oats and 4 cups of fresh water to a blender.
3. Blend on high for 30–45 seconds until smooth and creamy.
4. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve, nut milk bag, or cheesecloth into a large bowl or pitcher.
5. Stir in maple syrup, vanilla, and a pinch of salt if desired.
6. Store oat milk in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 4–5 days. Shake well before each use.
Notes
For creamier oat milk, use less water or blend longer.
Avoid over-blending to reduce sliminess.
Can be flavored with cocoa, cinnamon, or coffee for different variations.
